If you’re HAPPY and you know it… clap your hands!
If you’re not clapping right now, it’s probably because “Happy” isn’t in your barn yet.
An A+ attitude, smooth movement, excellent conformation, a stellar pedigree, and true gentleman manners—this little horse checks every box. Simply put, he’s a gem.
Horse person or not, it’s easy to recognize just how kind and genuine he is. With his big brown eyes, cheerful ears, and level-headed way of carrying himself, Happy quickly becomes everyone’s favorite in the barn.
After all, there’s a reason his name is Happy. He’s happy to see you each day. Happy to get caught. Happy to go ride. Happy to load up and go on field trips. Wherever the day takes him, he shows up with the same willing attitude.
In the arena, out on the trail, or across an open field, he is exactly the same—predictable, steady, and true. Happy has had months off and can step right back into work without any nonsense. He has carried riders from beginners to advanced in lessons and has a natural way of meeting each rider at their level. No matter who swings a leg over him, it’s hard not to smile. His undeniable charm and calm demeanor make him a joy to be around.
Western, English, bridleless, or bareback—it’s all possible with Happy. He is as uncomplicated as they come. Steering is effortless whether you prefer riding one-handed with a neck rein or two-handed in a snaffle. Truthfully, if you just think about where you want to go, he’ll likely read your mind and take you there.
His smooth gaits and easy transitions make every ride enjoyable—and we haven’t even mentioned his size. Standing at 14 hands, Happy is the perfect fit for young riders, adults, and everyone in between. Easy mounting is another bonus, and he will gladly step over to pick you up from a mounting block, trailer fender, bumper, or even a stump.
At 6 years old, he has a lifetime of adventures ahead. Whether it’s ranch horse shows, cattle drives, trail rides, or exploring town and countryside alike, Happy is ready to go wherever you point him. Water crossings, steep terrain, boggy spots, and rocky ground don’t bother him—he stays thoughtful about his footing and keeps his wits in every situation.
We are extremely proud to offer Happy from our program. He truly represents everything we strive to produce: honesty, versatility, and safety.

A lifelong dedication to building reliable, family-friendly horses has been a driving force for Megan, and this tradition is now being carried on by her daughter, Teagan. Their sincere connections with both their horses and their customers are evident in everything they do.
Megan’s love for horses began at just three years old and has shaped her entire life. Megan and her husband, Andy, are excited to see their children, Wyatt and Teagan, share the same passion for horses. Together, the family owns and operates Hansen Performance Horses, where they focus on training well-rounded horses. Their horses are exposed to a variety of disciplines, from team roping to trail riding, ranching, and even jumping. It’s also common for them to compete at ranch horse shows, where Teagan proudly won her first buckle!
Megan and Teagan are both committed to understanding each horse's unique strengths and personality. Through individualized training, they ensure that every horse is represented honestly and matched with the right person.
