Bourbon is a gorgeous, well-made red roan gelding with chrome markings and a full, long mane and tail. He is the kind that’s hard to find and even harder to replace. The one everyone is looking for — and the one everyone remembers.

Bourbon is the definition of bombproof — steady, honest, and unshakable in every situation. He is soft in the bridle, responsive to verbal and body cues, and rides exactly how you want one to feel. He has done everything from English to Ranch work, Rides bareback, or even without a bridle, Bourbon stays tuned in, willing, and consistent every ride. He is the same horse every single day — whether you ride him daily or let him sit, he comes out quiet, dependable, and ready to go with no nonsense.

He is as safe and dependable as they come — truly beginner and kid safe, traffic safe, and seasoned well beyond his years. Bourbon is ranch broke and has been roped off of, yet transitions seamlessly into the show pen or a quiet trail ride. He has been successfully shown in Western Dressage and holds APHA points, with additional experience in pleasure, ranch events, and halter, making him a versatile, all-around partner. Most recently, we have used him for working cattle and in Ranch Versatility events.

Bourbon has been hauled extensively and has seen it all — from rodeos and parades to cattle work and diverse terrain. Nothing phases him. He crosses water with ease, handles new environments without hesitation, and rides out confidently whether alone or in a group. He is the same steady, reliable horse every single time you pull him off the trailer.

In the barn, he’s an easy keeper with zero maintenance, sits comfortably in the middle of the pecking order, and has impeccable ground manners — quiet enough to be clipped without even a halter. Horses like Bourbon rarely come available. If not for his owner pursuing other prospects, he wouldn’t be offered. He is an absolutely solid, trustworthy partner ready to take his next rider down the road — whether that’s to see new sights, earn more accolades, or simply be the best horse you’ve ever owned.
