Safe, reliable and fun is why we adore this handsome gelding that we affectionately call Pluto.
He's the kind that makes the Gypsy Vanner breed so popular. This sweet gelding is absolutely stunning with a jet black body and his perfectly matching white stockings with feathers like a cheerleaders pompoms! He's built to last with a ton of bone, great feet, and balanced conformation.
Pluto comes running to the gate when he sees you and has the disposition of a big teddy bear. Sweet, kind, and lovable. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and wants to be your buddy.
Pluto is a trail riding machine and is happy to pack anyone in the family. He's made lots of miles cruising through the mountains and desert. He's happy, trusting, and willing to go right where you pilot him. Pluto has a nice one handed neckrein and is simple and uncomplicated to ride. He is super smooth with a nice ground covering walk, beautiful trot, and comfortable lope on a loose rein. He has a big stop with just the word "whoa" and will stand still and quiet until asked to move.
Pluto has a nice side pass, easy lead departures, and is soft in his face. We have ridden him English and bareback as well. He's just a fun horse anyway you choose to ride him.
He's very trained in the arena, yet amazing outside with great confidence and stamina to last all day. Pluto has been ridden all over the ranch to gather cattle and used at a couple brandings. He's been roped on a few times and is game for anything you throw his way.
Pluto knows some fun tricks and will lay down to easily mount or dismount. He's accustomed to crazy dogs, loud gunfire, heavy traffic, large machinery and blowing tarps. Pluto enjoys attention and looks forward to being groomed and loved on. He has impeccable ground manners and will ground tie where you drop his lead.
You can ride him daily or twice a year and he's the same solid citizen being 100% absolute gentle every time you saddle him. Pluto makes owning and riding a horse fun, easy and effortless. If you want to enjoy the ride, here you go!
