Pale High Brow, lovingly known as Pineapple, is a strong built 2015 gelding that stands 15.1 and weighs 1100. He is big boned with lots of substance to withstand any task you give him. Pineapple's gorgeous, refined head and big soft eyes make him an absolute head-turner.
If I had to describe Pineapple in just one word, it would be "simple". There is nothing complicated about this gelding. He'll meet you at the gate, saddle him up, and go do whatever you'd like that day! Pineapple rarely gets rattled and truly just wants to get along with everyone in every way.
Started as a reined cowhorse, Pineapple got too big for that discipline so he was roped on some and became a full-time ranch horse. His versatile background makes him an outstanding, well-rounded individual both in and out of the arena. Pineapple enjoys a job but that doesn't mean you need to give him one to keep him sane. He's perfectly content being someone's trail horse or mount that they ride only a few days per week or even month- and he is always gentle!
Our daughter, Haven (5), has ridden Pineapple all over our place and at playdays and horse shows. In placing her on his back, we've entrusted this gelding with our most precious treasure and our whole hearts; and time and time again we can say that he's never let us down. We fully credit him with growing Haven's confidence while horseback. That being said, we feel as though if you can hold the bridle reins, you can get along with this horse!
Pineapple has been shown in halter, leadline, ranch pleasure, and reining with multiple wins to his credit. He helped our daughter win her first buckle this fall. He collects and bridles up nicely in the arena, is soft in the face and on his sides. He has really correct and fast spins and a great stride, making him a wonderful ranch riding horse.
Pineapple has a ground covering trot outside but will always go the speed you ask. He is bold and brave on the trail and has seen a lot of big country in west TX and NM. He knows what a full day's work is and has checked miles of fence, drug calves, caught cattle outside, and ponied colts. We've ridden him down the road and on leisurely trail rides and have found that he rides well in a group or alone. If you wish to blaze your own trail, he leaves the barn alone with absolutely no fuss.
Pineapple has a great one-hand neck rein, crosses obstacles with ease, and has a nice sidepass. He effortlessly moves over to a mounting block, fence, trailer, etc. to be mounted. He is great with tarps, the big ball, whips, traffic, wildlife, crossing water, and carrying a flag. Ride him anywhere you want bareback (thats Haven's favorite!).
Pineapple has been to a school's AgDay and doted on by small kids- he loves attention! He's sweet and gentle both on the ground and his back. He has a great personality and will stand to be loved on for hours! Easy to clip, bathe, shoe, and haul. Pineapple is a very easy keeper as well!
Simply put, Pineapple makes owning a horse enjoyable in every way! Please give us a call to visit more about this gelding or to schedule a time to come meet him.
