Born and raised on the same ranch all his life in the Owhyee mountains, Leo has always been a barn favorite and is a true family horse.
Leo is happy to babysit the kids all day or can go straight to business with dad out working. He isn't shy of a days work and has put in countless hours in the branding pen along with daily pasture riding duties of gathering and doctoring.
Leo would be an asset to any working ranch but don't let his work clothes fool you, he is no stranger to town and with his flashy looks and macho physique. he draws attention and catches eyes everywhere he goes.
Leo was used by a 16 year old girl fulfilling her queen duties in the arena and during parades. He adjusts beautifully to whatever level rider he is packing for the day.
Leo ropes both ends and handles a rope beautifully. He comes out of the box gracefully and rates a steer nicely. With his size it should come as no surprise he can hold his ground. He has been used to rope countless bulls, horses, and he never waivers. You can tie off on Leo and doctor a sick cow and never have to worry about him not having your back and working that rope for you. Along with roping in and out of the arena, Leo also has been used as a pickup horse for various stock contractors for rodeos in the state of Idaho and Oregon.
He stands for the farrier, clips well, bathes, is good to catch, loads, and will stand to be mounted. Leo truly is a gentleman, class act, and a cowgirls Cadillac.
