Here’s a sale highlight! Prime age. Quiet demeanor. Kind soul. Royally bred. Allows time off. Stays broke. Anyone can get on and go. If that’s not enough, he’s buckskin!
Meet “Howdy!” He is everything you could ask for and more. With his smooth gates, clean transitions, and willing attitude, he can give anyone confidence in the saddle. Scout out the trails, check the cows, or get gussied up for a show day, it can all be done with Howdy!
He has been hauled and shown successfully in reined cow horse and ranch versatility events. There’s no nonsense with him, he stays honest and is 100% reliable. As a son of Travelin Jonez (LTE $197K and offspring earnings $500K+) he is fully equipped with all the buttons you need; lead changes, sliding stops, and spins, but have no fear, if you don’t think you can handle the extra features… he prefers to conserve energy! He double checks to make sure you really wanted to go faster before he picks up the pace.
Saddle him up after months off with no issue and ride like you were on him the day before, he is set and solid. Howdy is always ready to greet you, he is easy to catch, easy to load and trailer, and adjusts quickly to new environments. Traffic doesn’t bother him; whether it be other horses or motorized vehicles, and even better is how confident he is off by himself. If you’re needing some time away from people, Howdy will happily go off the grid with you, just point and shoot, he will take care of the rest.
He has been used for lessons for first timers and timid riders and I never worry about him taking advantage or doing anything they aren’t ready for. He 100% will meet you where you’re at and patiently help you progress.
Teagan loves riding him English because he allows close contact on his sides and in the bridle without ever pushing through or overreacting to it. Then again… she loves riding him western, bareback, double, or bridle less! Makes no difference to Howdy, he’s game for anything, especially standing still!
Built to last with his good bone and solid feet, he’s not about to break down. He has had no soundness or health issues, plus he’s an easy keeper, as long as you keep him fed, he’ll do anything you ask.
We are certain Howdy will go to his forever home, he’s hard to resist and deserves all the love and attention directed his way.
