Peppers Double Sting, aka “Crackerjack” lives up to his nickname. He’s an exceptionally good gelding and the prize inside is a big-hearted personality. He’s a meet you at the gate, fun fella with a willing to do anything attitude. A sure bet for the entire family.
Crackerjack took one-on-one trick training in New Mexico in the spring of 2022 then went on to spend the summer taking weekly training level dressage lessons and trail riding in the mountains of Eastern Oregon. He worked on his western riding skills in the arena and enjoyed turnout time on green pastures.
The fall was spent horse camping and more trail riding. He showed he could easily spend nights quietly tied while eating and drinking away from home. He respectfully rides out with a group of horses and willingly crosses obstacles and water without hesitation. Crackerjack also attended a desensitizing clinic provided by the renowned Scottsdale Mounted Police Unit. He was an excellent participant, handling new things with ease.
Crackerjack continues his arena work and trail riding in Arizona in the fall and winter and has spectated many team ropings, being exposed to a busy atmosphere. He has lots of possibilities. Play with him at liberty, take him to the parade and carry the flag, or to the Paint Horse show and show him off. Finish the day with a ride down the trail to watch the sunset. This fun guy can ride out alone or in a group and he’ll happily pack your beverage and snack in a pack behind the saddle.
This gentle, kind gelding has a solid yet versatile foundation and is ready to go safely in any direction. He is marked for excellence with his unique coloring. He changes color with the seasons and has just enough chrome to get noticed. With his cute face and fun personality, he’s sure to be an American family favorite.
