2017 AQHA Gelding

14.3 HH

Hello Gorgeous! Take a look at this blonde bombshell.

Cortez is a stunning golden palomino with a long snow white mane and tail. He has been trained in the reining and performs all the maneuvers with ease. He has a rocking chair lope on a draped rein, long and smooth sliding stops, pretty spins and is an elegant mover. Cortez would be fun to go show in the Ranch Riding and Versatility classes.

He is very easy and adaptive to all situations, new obstacles and new places. Cortez rides out of the trails like a dream. Nothing bothers this guy and he's been ridden all over the AZ desert. He willingly goes through running water, rocky terrain, and is sure footed going up and down the mountains.

Cortez is always gentle to ride and easy to handle even with substantial time off. He is an "old soul" in a young body. He enjoys attention and affection. He will meet you at the gate and follow you around like a puppy dog. Cortez is good around crazy dogs, blowing tarps, busy traffic, heavy machinery and loud gunfire.

We have used him around our ranch and he's a great partner. He side passes easily to open and shut gates, stands ground tied, is confident outside alone and quiet in a group. He has a lot of natural cow and we have used him to sort cattle in pens and gather cattle out of the pasture. We have roped on him as well.

Cortez has all the tools, ability and mind to go do whatever you want to do horseback.

He is sired by NRHA Hall of Fame leading reining sire, Smart Spook, earner of $400,000+ NRHA and producer of $5 million plus.
