2016 Draft-Cross Gelding

16 HH

Meet Big Step!

This one of a kind gelding is a 5 yr old, 16 hand black Friesian/Percheron/Quarter Horse cross and I can promise you there is not another one as gentle, broke, kind, willing, talented or as beautiful as him! He is the total package!

We purchased and started Big step as a two yr old. Because of his sweet personality, beautiful way of moving and willingness to please, he's been a big time house favorite from day one!

Saylor immediately named him Big Step when she watched him move and it has stuck with him since! This classy guy can go English or western but Big Step's main career has been in the Feed Yard and ranch chores, such as taking care of outside cattle, sorting, shipping etc. He is very stout to the horn and great to rope on.

There's not many horses with as much heart and try as Big Step, no matter the job he will absolutely give you his all! He's also been used at home to pony babies on and give lessons. Because of his looks and personality, he's even been borrowed for several photo shoots!

Big Step does not ride like your typical draft cross; he's extremely soft and his mouth just melts when you pick him up. He's soft sided as well and so, so talented. He can spin like a little bitty horse and absolutely drags his hind end when you ask him to stop. He lopes with a pretty cadence and has a beautiful lead departure, his trot is wine glass smooth!

This impeccable gelding is so safe, he's been a favorite for all of our lesson kids, and the horse we grab when any novice rider comes to the barn. Saylor is 4 yrs old and has rode Big Step everywhere! He is a reliable ride for her to take on any trail ride, or to any play day she wants to go to!

He's been around flags, traffic, machinery and tarps and pays them no mind. Big step handles time off like the professional he is, he never misses a beat whether you ride him once a week or once a month. His ground manners are perfect, he will respectfully follow little Saylor anywhere she wants to go and he has an endless amount of personality! He stands like a gentleman to be bathed and for the farrier. Absolutely anyone can walk out in any size pasture and catch him, crawl up the fence, crawl on and go anywhere.

We believe this amazing individual could go in any direction you choose! He's well trained, seasoned, and has the best mind you will find! Not to mention he will make everyone stop and take notice anywhere you take him! Please give us a call and let us visit with you about this gelding or come out and try him before sale day you will not be disappointed!
