2018 Draft Cross Gelding
14.3 HH
If you have been waiting for that one horse that truly, does it all—your search might just be over.
Meet Shamu a Black and White Paint Draft Cross gelding that carries that true “wow” factor everywhere he goes.
With his classy, eye-catching color and kind, gentle expression, he is the kind that turns heads—but it is his mind and ability that truly set him apart. He is the definition of “been there, done that.”
Shamu is the kind you can let sit for weeks, months—even up to a year—and he will come out the exact same every time. Step on him bridle less, and he will walk off quiet, willing, and confident like he never missed a day. That kind of consistency and reliability is something you just cannot train into, it is who he is.
Under saddle, Shamu is incredibly smooth through every gait—walk, trot, and canter. He has a soft, effortless way of moving that makes him comfortable for riders of all levels, and he knows his leads with a nice, natural feel. Whether you are just out for a relaxing ride or ask him to step up and perform, he is always right there with you.
He has seen miles and miles of trails and handles anything you point him at. From crossing creeks and water, stepping over logs, navigating thick woods, or climbing hills—he takes it all in stride with confidence. He has also been ridden down state roads in traffic and stays calm, cool, and collected in every situation.
Shamu truly shines in his versatility. He has been ridden Western, English, bareback, and even bridle less. He enjoys jumping, will lay down and sit up on cue, stands quietly on a pedestal, and takes everything from tarps and jugs to whips without a second thought. He is the kind that is willing to try anything you ask and does it with a good attitude.
When we say safe, we mean it—Shamu is as close to bombproof as they come. He is suitable for any level rider, from kids and grandkids to beginners, seniors, and even advanced riders who want something dependable and enjoyable.
He is the perfect confidence builder and “babysitter” type, yet still fun enough to keep an experienced rider happy. In the barn, he is a true gentleman. He loves attention, enjoys being groomed, and will be the first one to meet you at the gate looking for scratches. He is easy to handle, respectful, and has great manners all the way around. He gets along well in the pasture with other horses or does just fine on his own.
One of the best things about Shamu—he does not require a daily riding schedule. Ride him every day, once a week, once a month, or even once a year, and he stays the same steady, willing partner every single time. He is up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and shoeing, and is ready to go in any direction you choose. If you are looking for a versatile, dependable, and truly special gelding, whether it is a trail partner, family horse, or all-around companion, Shamu is one you will not want to miss. Horses like him are few and far between.
