2022 AQHA Gelding

15 HH

Casual on the trails, confident in town, and steady in the arena—it’s all part of being Eddie. With the kind of practical, reliable nature you can count on, he is as predictable and uncomplicated as they come.

If his unique grulla roan color doesn’t catch your eye, his kind expression certainly will. With big brown eyes, a curious, gentle look, and ears that are always forward, Eddie has a way of winning people over in an instant. His solid build and calm demeanor make him ideal “husband horse” material—but truthfully, he’s an anyone kind of horse. Safe for inexperienced riders and still enjoyable for those with more experience.

A quiet soul and willing mind make Eddie an easy horse to have in your life. From the moment you step outside, he’s paying attention—ready to be caught, groomed, and spend time with you. He stands patiently, is easy to saddle and bridle, and approaches each ride with a relaxed, willing attitude.

Eddie is always up for a “nature walk,” and that’s where he shines. Whether you’re out on the trail, riding through town, or just enjoying a quiet ride, he stays steady, sensible, and completely drama-free. Obstacles like tarps, bridges, balls, or commotion are taken in stride—nothing seems to bother him. He rides western, English, bareback, and always does his best to take care of his rider.

Time off is no issue for Eddie. He comes back the same every time—quiet, kind, and ready to go. He truly aims to please and carries that “teacher’s pet” personality, always trying to do the right thing. He has just enough personality to make you smile every day.

On the ground, he is as easy as they come. Eddie is great to shoe, clip, bathe, haul, and gets along well turned out with other horses. He is sound and requires no maintenance.

Don’t let his age fool you—this sweet, old soul has plenty of good years ahead and will continue giving his best to his person.

If your idea of a perfect day involves a quiet ride, good company, and enjoying the view… Eddie has already packed his lunch and is waiting by the door.

A lifelong dedication to building reliable, family-friendly horses has been a driving force for Megan, and this tradition is now being carried on by her daughter, Teagan. Their sincere connections with both their horses and their customers are evident in everything they do.

Megan’s love for horses began at just three years old and has shaped her entire life. Megan and her husband, Andy, are excited to see their children, Wyatt and Teagan, share the same passion for horses. Together, the family owns and operates Hansen Performance Horses, where they focus on  training well-rounded horses. Their horses are exposed to a variety of disciplines, from team roping to trail riding, ranching, and even jumping. It’s also common for them to compete at ranch horse shows, where Teagan proudly won her first buckle!

Megan and Teagan are both committed to understanding each horse's unique strengths and personality. Through individualized training, they ensure that every horse is represented honestly and matched with the right person.
