Rock‑solid is the best way to describe this strikingly unique Silver Dun. Built like a tank with a muscular, substantial frame, a long flowing mane and tail, Carson is as eye‑catching as he is dependable. While his looks turn heads wherever he goes, it’s his gentle, trustworthy nature and remarkable versatility that truly set him apart. He is, quite simply, the ultimate family horse; safe, consistent, fancy, and incredibly well‑trained. Easy is an understatement.
Carson has been ridden through busy town roads and granite mountain trails by a beginner rider as young as 10, and with our full confidence, he will keep her safe, even to sneak off for some sweet treats. Navigating traffic, bicycles, dogs, strollers, tourists, and everyday commotion without batting an eye. He has been hauled extensively, exposed to new environments, and asked to tackle unfamiliar situations, all of which he meets with steady confidence and a quiet “yes” attitude. Nothing rattles him.
On the trail, Carson is sure‑footed and relaxed, whether crossing creeks, climbing hills, or covering miles of uneven terrain. His smooth, rhythmic gaits make long rides a pleasure, and he has proven his endurance on overnight rides and extended outdoor adventures. Absolutely exquisite in the English saddle as well as western. A beautiful, fluid, and smooth mover, making even the most novice of riders able to sit and look like a professional!
On the ranch, he is equally capable—gathering cattle, sorting pens, and working alongside cow dogs, ATVs, and equipment with patience and focus. He is also an extremely fancy head-and-heel horse, safe for beginner ropers to those wanting to rope in the 12 ropings. He is the same horse in the box, across the line, to the cow, handle, and face on every steer. Paje, Chad, and friends who needed a loaner head horse have hauled and won big $$ on him.
Carson has completed the TPH rideability program. He is consistent, reliable, and the same honest horse day after day—even with time off. He saddles up quietly and curbside mounts with ease. His one‑handed neck rein, responsiveness to cues, and calm, collected demeanor make him a pleasure in the arena and out in the open.

Paje Turner of Turner Performance Horses has spent a lifetime developing an equine match-making program that spans nearly every discipline. Her passion for horses started at just 4 years old, riding English on Saddlebreds and Arabians. Proving her passion for horses, her family bought her a 1st horse at 8 —an AQHA Palomino Gelding to show in all-around western events. Moving several hours away from home in college, while working two jobs to take her first horse with her. Paje successfully competed on the Intercollegiate Equestrian Team and the National College Rodeo Team; there was no doubt Paje ate, slept, and drank horses!
After graduating with a degree in architecture, Paje headed west! It was then that she met her match, her future husband Chad Turner. Already an exceptional horseman, Chad, in a short time, shared his knowledge and encouraged her to compete at higher levels. It was at that time that Turner Performance Horses became a household name among those seeking a well-versed horse for a variety of disciplines. From the back country of Montana to the sandy trails of Arizona, and ranches in between, Paje understands the importance of a horses experience outside the arena as well.
Paje Turner has since won notable awards, such as a finalist at the AQHA World Show, an APHA award winner, and has won money and awards in the National Reining Horse, Versatility Ranch Horse, National Cutting Horse, National Reined Cow Horse, National Snaffle Bit, World Series of Team Roping, and holds her Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association permit. She has successfully shown at prestigious events such as the Run For a Million, World Series of Team Roping Finale, and the AQHA World Show!
