2020 Draft Cross Gelding

15.2 HH

Heiro is the kind of gelding that’s getting harder and harder to find — a true, finished ranch horse with the size, substance, and ability to handle a full day’s work while still being a pleasure to ride. This handsome grulla Clydesdale/Quarter Horse cross is built right with plenty of bone, shape, and presence, highlighted by four white socks, a lot of feathering, and a bold blaze face that makes him stand out wherever he goes.

Heiro has been used the way a ranch horse should be, with countless hours outside and a resume that speaks for itself. He has roped and doctored plenty of cattle in real-world situations and knows what a day’s work entails. He’s been ridden extensively in the mountains and across all kinds of terrain, proving to be sure-footed, dependable, and confident no matter where you take him. Whether you’re gathering, checking fences, or covering big country, Heiro is the kind you can rely on.

In the arena, Heiro carries himself with a solid, correct foundation. He lopes smooth, collected circles, has a comfortable, easy stride, and rides off your seat and leg with softness and responsiveness. He stays between the bridle, is easy to guide, and gives you that broke, connected feel every time you swing a leg over him.

Heiro is the total package — combining size, color, training, and real ranch experience into one dependable partner. He’s the kind of gelding that’s been there, done that, and is ready to go on and be someone’s go-to horse for any job, whether it’s a long day on the ranch or a relaxing ride out in the country.

Based out of Nevis, Minnesota, and spending winters in Arizona, The Thorson Family of Triple T Livestock is a true family-run program built on horsemanship, hard work, and heart. Together, Colton and Alise Thorson, along with their daughter Denim train, and market high-quality horses that are the kind you can trust and be proud to own.

The Thorson family actively competes in team roping, breakaway roping, ranch horse versatility events, and they regularly use their horses for ranch work such as branding, gathering, and doctoring cattle. Every horse in their program is expected to be versatile, dependable, and gentle enough for the whole family to enjoy.

At Triple T Livestock, each horse’s training is built on a solid reining foundation, emphasizing softness, body control, and willingness. Their goal is to produce horses that are as broke and talented as they are kind and consistent — the kind you can ride anywhere, for anything.

Whether it’s in the show pen, down the trail, or out working cattle, the Thorson family takes pride in offering horses that reflect their values: honest, hardworking, and family-friendly.
