2021 AQHA Mare

14 HH

Bird is the dependable, honest, sweet-natured mare everyone dreams of having in their barn. Safe and gentle enough for kids, yet talented and athletic enough for serious competitors, she’s the same quiet, steady partner every single ride.

Whether you’re at VRH shows, brandings, trail rides, or in the roping pen, Bird is the one you can count on. Everywhere she goes, she draws compliments with her good looks, talent, and easy-going nature. She’s the rare kind of horse you can trust to do it all—and do it right.

I’ve had Bird since she was a 3-year-old, and she’s been my go-to partner for everything. She’s earned over $1,500 in NVRHA winnings and brought home the 2025 NVRHA Limited Open Reserve Champion title.

Don’t let her 14hh height fool you—Bird can keep up with the best. She’s the full reining package: smooth lead changes, flawless circles, dynamic spins, and bold, powerful stops. She’s reliable, easy to ride, and ready for whatever you throw at her—whether you’re looking to continue in VRH, head to the ranch, rope, or enjoy the trails.

Bird was started roping and ranching as a 3-year-old and worked cattle again all winter. She’s sure-footed and unflappable—traffic, loud music, banners—nothing bothers her.

With her kind eye and gentle soul, Bird is truly one in a million. She’s affectionate, nickers when you catch her, and nickers again when you’re done riding—something you’ll have to see to believe. She rides off the same whether she’s worked yesterday or had time off.

Bird is deeply loved here at the barn, and parting with her will be tough, but she’s ready.

My name is Gabby Trenda. I’m originally from Minnesota, but I’ve been fortunate enough to recently make my home in the small town of Jay Em, Wyoming, a place that truly embodies the Western way of life. Horses have been in my life for as long as I can remember, and over the years they have shaped both my career and who I am as a person.

I started riding young and quickly turned my passion into a profession. In high school, I owned and operated my own horse training business, working with horses of different backgrounds and giving riding lessons to help others grow their skills and confidence. I’ve also worked for a professional reining horse trainer, gaining valuable experience in developing horses to reach their full potential.

During my high school years, I did High-school rodeo where I breakaway roped and barrel raced, an experience that built my competitive spirit and taught me the rewards of hard work. Most recently, I’ve discovered a deep love for the cowhorse, which blends the precision of reining with the challenge and adrenaline of working cattle.

I recently earned my degree in Agricultural Business, providing me with a strong understanding of the business side of the equine industry. As I step further into equine sales, my goal is to present exceptional horses, and match them with riders who will appreciate and enjoy them. Horses are my lifelong passion, and I’m proud to share that dedication with buyers.
