2020 International Draft and Sporthorse Registry Gelding

16.1 HH

Do we have a friend for you? His name is Clifford; the big red, black, and roan horse! If his looks do not impress you, his loving demeanor will. Clifford is the only one like him; he is a once-in-a-lifetime gelding.

A bona fide gentleman who holds his gaits easily and goes right where you point him to go. Ever so smooth to ride in the arena, trails, and on the ranch. Makes friends wherever he goes, and if there is one that forgets he is a horse and does not belong in the house, it is Clifford. He will be the very first one to meet you at the gate and hang out until you leave. Stout and feather-footed, with a great wither to hold your saddle, and comfortable to sit for many-mile trail rides. He has been in our family for years and is one you can immensely depend on. Clifford is a solid, very safe, been-there-done-that type of gelding. He has seen and visited various environments, from parades to the remote Rocky Mountains, and has also been a ranch horse that we have depended on.

Clifford moves smoothly and efficiently- like floating on air.  He will lope in the palm of your hand with an incredible neck rein and indirect reins, moves off your leg, side passes, and has a smooth jog and extended trot. He rides well in a shank bit and a snaffle bit, English and Western. Would be fun in the Ranch Versatility, 4H events, Ranch Trail, English, Ranch Roping, and Ranch Cutting. Clifford is trained to curbside from anywhere to mount aboard off of a simple cluck, too.

He has led pack strings in rough backcountry mountains on hunting trips. You name it, he has seen it: elk, bear, bikers, deer, hikers, dogs, and wolves. He will pack, hobble, and picket, and has been exposed to so much that goes into overnight camp trips.

He has trailed and gathered a lot of cattle, and is quiet when out by himself and doesn't get his feathers ruffled when the herd takes off. He is always available to lend a hand on the ranch, proving to be quite an asset, doctoring and sorting pairs. He has ponied colts, walked through fire, and isn't fazed by ATVs, bikes, equipment, flags, and drones flying overhead.

One of the surest-footed, He is ready to climb one mountain to see what is on the other side. Just fine if you'd rather stand and take photos from his back.

He does have excellent ground manners; bathing, clipping, and for the farrier, and gets along with other horses. When you're done riding, you have a trustworthy buddy who will let you tote him wherever you go.

We will truly miss our gentle giant; he has left many memories in our hearts. He is a fun-loving character who always puts a smile on your face. UTD on worming, dental, and farrier.

A dream horse is at your fingertips —Clifford is a safe, easy-to-ride, user-friendly, true confidence builder.

Paje Turner

Paje Turner of Turner Performance Horses has spent a lifetime developing an equine match-making empire that spans nearly every discipline. Dating back to 4 years old, it all started with English, Jumping, Saddlebreds, and Arabians. Proving her passion for horses, her family bought her a 1st horse at 8 —an AQHA Palomino Gelding to show in all-around western events. Moving several hours away from home in college, working two jobs to take her first horse with her to college. Paje successfully competed on the Intercollegiate Equestrian Team and the College Rodeo Team; there was no doubt Paje ate, slept, and drank horses!

After graduating with a degree in architecture, Paje headed west! It was then that she met her match, her future husband Chad Turner. Already an exceptional horseman, Chad, in a short time, shared his knowledge and encouraged her to compete at higher levels. It was at that time that Turner Performance Horses became a household name among those seeking a well-versed horse for a variety of disciplines. Paje Turner has since won notable awards and is active in the AQHA, APHA, Northern Rodeo, The Run for a Million, World Series of Team Roping Finale, National Snaffle Bit, National Cutting Horse, National Reining Horse, Versatility Ranch Horse, and many more.  From the back country of Montana to the sandy trails of Arizona, and ranches in between, Paje understands the importance of a horses experience outside the arena as well.

Paje has sold horses to the most discerning and noteworthy clientele; she truly has a passion for sharing her knowledge and match-making horses with others.
