2020 AQHA Gelding
14 HH
Bentley is the kind of gelding folks spend a lifetime trying to find. He’s a 2020 AQHA bay gelding standing 14 hands — short enough to swing a leg over easily, but built like one of the big boys. Thick, strong, big-boned, and solid black feet under him. He’s the definition of stout made with muscle in all the right places.
Bentley is out of sire Colonel Remi by Reminic (sire of earners of over $3,000,000) and Annie Freckles (NCHA money earner by the legendary Colonel Freckles) has NRHA earnings of over $10,000 and 24 AQHA Performance points. On the bottom side, Cool Wimp goes back to the great Wimpy’s Little Step whos offspring has broken countless records in the reining world.
Bentley is quiet every day of the week — born broke and stays broke with time off. Just saddle up and walk off- No funny business. He’s the horse that trots over to meet you at the gate and has his head over the fence wondering what youre doing. Bentley loves his people and wants to be your friend.
He started his career in a professional reining program in Canada and has extensive arena training. Bentley has lifetime NRHA earnings and has been successfully shown by a non-pro. He has a beautiful low head carriage, a natural stop, and effortless turnarounds, with that smooth-as-butter rocking chair lope everyone wants to sit.
This last year, Bentley traded the show pen for the wide-open hills of Alberta, learning the ropes of a true ranch horse. He’s been used to gather, sort, and doctor cattle in rough country — crossing creeks, climbing hills, and stepping through timber with confidence and heart. He’s surefooted, steady, and has a great work ethic.
Bentley has also been started on the heel side in the roping arena. While he’s not a speed demon, he’s honest, quiet in the box, and would make a perfect low-number heel horse for someone who wants to go slow and have fun.
But Bentley isn’t just broke — he’s a bit of a trick horse.
He’ll sidepass to the fence so you can get on. Bentley will pick up ropes, hats, or gloves off the ground and hand them to you in the saddle, and even bow gracefully to one knee on cue. Hes handy, responsive, and always thinking, he’s as fun to ride as he is to watch.
He’s versatile, talented, and kind-hearted — even shown in Western Dressage. Around the barn, Bentley is all class: gentle, patient, and absolutely loves attention. He’s a horse you can trust your kids around — a steady babysitter who’s safe, kind, and completely unbothered by noise, tarps, flags, or the chaos provided by young children running around at his feet and throwing toys around him.
If you’re looking for a gelding that combines reining training, ranch experience, and unmatched disposition, Bentley checks every box. He’s the horse you can take to the show pen Saturday, trail ride Sunday, and trust to meet you at the gate Monday morning.
Bentley is the complete package: looks, brains, talent, and heart.
Show him, ranch on him, trail ride him, or teach him new tricks.
He’ll give you 100% every time.
Bentley – a true gentleman with all the buttons, all the heart, and all the class.

I grew up on the back of a horse in the Porcupine Hills of Alberta — a fourth-generation ranch kid with a deep love for the western way of life. Together with my husband, Joey, and our two kids, Haze and Destry, we spend our days ranching, team roping, and training horses. Our mission is to develop highly versatile horses — the kind that can compete in the arena, work a cow on the ranch, or take you down the trail with confidence and style.
Every horse we ride is built on a foundation of respect, purpose, and the belief that a good one should do it all — and look good doing it.
