2021 AQHA Gelding

15.2 HH

Hello Handsome!! Chex The Guns is a 2021 AQHA chestnut gelding with a flaxen mane and tail and is chromed out with four white socks, a perfect bald face and 2 baby blue eyes outlined in black. Standing 15.2 hands and built to last a lifetime- he is conformationally balanced and correct. Whether you want to compete, pleasure ride, or just own a show stopping horse, this gelding will check all the boxes.

He has the most forgiving and acceptable attitude. He’s just a sweet laid back teddy bear that enjoys attention, grooming, bathes and loving. He would make a great first horse for beginners or kids to learn on but has all the buttons and tools to be competitive and one you won’t outgrow.

Fully reining trained, Chex The Guns has earned $783.33 in NRHA reining and cruises the patterns beautifully. He does all the reining maneuvers easily with great speed control, fluent pretty spins, automatic lead changes, balanced circles, and is a natural born stopper! He has the smoothest jog and perfect slow lope. He’s more of a push style horse, but trained and honest enough he doesn’t require spurs. He’s eager to please and always wants to be good. He will go as fast or slow as you want and is an easy, push-button type to ride. He will go wherever you point him on a loose rein and in no hurry to get anywhere including back to the barn. He has beautiful lead departures with just a smooch and a great big stop. Chex The Guns looks stellar under an English saddle or Western. He has a beautiful extended trot and a pitter-patter jog.  His presence and stature will get you noticed in the show pen or anywhere you take him. He will side pass with hand commands to a mounting block, picnic table, log, boulder, or trailer fender to make mounting easy from anywhere. His transitions are flawless, and his mind is second to none.

Did I mention that Chex The Guns is Safe, Safe, Safe! He has the sweetest, nonchalant disposition, very level-headed, very quiet and an A+ personality. If you are in the hunt for a babysitter, confidence builder, and a total package here is your guy. He has the most forgiving and acceptable attitude.

Chex The Guns would be a top contender for the Ranch Riding, Trail, Rail and Versatility events or Western Dressage. He’s eager to please and always wants to be good. He is the total package bound together with that sought after chrome factor, prime age of 5 years old, talent and ability, and the mind and disposition of a winner. He is sound, needs no special shoeing and requires no maintenance. He hauls, trims, shoes and bathes as one should. No vices.

Chex The Guns is a champion in our barn and in our hearts. He’s a special kind of horse that deserves the best forever home. From barrel racing to trick riding to being a stunt double, Hailey’s horsemanship journey has been action-packed from the start. The dedicated horsewoman was born into a rodeo family and raised on her family’s poultry farm in Abbotsford, British Columbia. “My mom had me in the saddle with her when I was only 3 weeks old. I’ve loved horses since forever”. Hailey started out in Pony Club and from there went on to Rodeos, Barrel Racing and Ranch Trail. She has performed as a trick rider for years at rodeos and equine events across Canada and the Northwestern United States, including the Calgary Stampede. After graduating, Hailey focused on her barrel racing career and started her own training business, taking in mainly Barrel Racing and Ranch Trail horses. Her desire to learn as much about Horsemanship took her to Texas in 2019 where she became a graduate of the Downunder Horsemanship Academy as a Clinton Anderson Method Ambassador. Hailey has honed her training skills to emphasize on safety. “Even though I was a trick rider and stunt double, when you’re going to as many rodeos, jackpots and events as I do and riding as many horses as I ride, safety has to be a priority.” She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and helping horse owners enjoy their horses and reach their personal goals.
