Here's a beautiful buckskin gelding with a resume as big as his heart. Chip is everything you could want in a partner; safe, kind, and did I mention... beautiful?
There's a good reason Chip has been a staple here for the last 3 years. His good looks only touch the surface; he has the kindest eye, with a heart full of try. Not to mention, he does it all - rides, drives, ropes, and jumps, with a few fun tricks that will surely impress your friends!
Easy to ride, Chip has a jog you can sit all day, and a smooth, rocking-chair lope. Ready to step things up? Chip has cool stops, sidepasses, spins, and more. If you prefer to keep it in low gear, no worries, Chip is happy to do that as long as you'd like. No matter the level of rider, he will be sure to look after you.
Chip is the perfect horse to build your confidence as he is always the same easygoing mount, even with extended time off. He has been on plenty of trail rides whether it involves hills, desert, creeks, or roads. He is steady amongst all kinds of traffic and has seen many different kinds of wildlife. Whether you head out alone or with friends, if you are on Chip, you are bound to have fun!
A true "been there, done that" type, Chip's resume is impressive. From working feedlots with 10,000 head, to parades and fun shows in the city, or pulling the sleigh on Christmas, to carrying young children around as they learn to ride... or, becoming a rock-solid head horse under an NFR qualifying team roper - Chip really has done it all! Go on trails, go show, jump, head a few steers, ride western or english, bareback and bridleless, forwards, backwards, you name it, he'll do it! Above all, Chip is SAFE!
Plus, Chip has the fun tricks that everyone loves: smile, bow, lay down, play ball. You can shoot off him, crack a bullwhip, carry a flag and more. A perfect gentleman, he will slide up to the mounting block for you to get on and stands like a rock while you do so.
With plenty of experience driving, he is easy to harness and hitch with a nice steady trot. Around the barn, he is easy to handle, and has always been sound, easy to keep, and kept up to date on all care. He'll happily ground tie for days while you give him a bath, brush him, braid his mane, etc. He loves to be loved, and is often first to the gate and last to leave.
