2018 AQHA Mare

15 HH

Rose is a standout example of the increasingly hard-to-find Skip Foundation-bred Quarter Horse, bred for the kind of disposition and usability that built the breed. Her pedigree blends strong Skip influence on the bottom side—known for producing quiet, durable, trainable horses—with Dash For Cash on top, adding athleticism and responsiveness without sacrificing her steady nature.

Rose has the kind of disposition that gives her rider confidence. She is consistent, honest, and the same whether she has been ridden daily or had time off. She began her career as a trusted trail mount for a 70-year-old rider, then went on to work as a dependable ranch horse at Panther Creek Ranch in the Flint Hills of Kansas, checking fences and moving cattle. She later advanced into professional training with Isabelle Knophius, where her softness and responsiveness were further refined.

Rose is a solid, broke mare with a strong foundation and excellent ground manners. She walks, trots, and lopes willingly with a “whoa over go” attitude, carries herself softly in the bridle, and is comfortable with turnarounds, backing, counterbending, and two-tracking. She stands quietly for mounting, rides off on a loose rein, and is easy to guide and control. Her gaits are smooth, balanced, and easy to sit, making her enjoyable for riders of many levels.

She is confident in the arena and suitable for lessons or playdays, and is equally comfortable outside. Rose rides out alone or in a group, has been hauled extensively, and handles ranch work, trail riding, and overnight camping with ease. She is comfortable around ropes, flags, and commotion. Rose is an easy keeper with good bone, strong feet, and natural hardiness. She has lived in a range pasture herd, is easy to catch, and adapts just as well to a barn setting.

If you are looking for a safe, versatile, and trustworthy mare that the whole family can enjoy, Rose is the kind you can saddle up with confidence—whether it’s been a day or a month—and know exactly what you’re going to get.

Isabelle Knophius brings an international foundation and advanced training experience to everyhorse she produces. Raised around horses from an early age, she began her professional career in Germany in 2019 while studying Equine Physical Therapy from 2019 to 2022, building a strong understanding of biomechanics, soundness, and long-term performance.

In 2022, Isabelle was selected to attend the Clinton Anderson Clinician Academy, where she graduated at the top of her class. She remained with the Downunder Horsemanship program as barn manager and assistant trainer, where she was involved in daily training, conditioning, horsecare, and travel operations.

Now based in Texas, Isabelle operates EquiMinded Horsetraining, where she produces a limited number of horses each year. Her program focuses on correct foundation, mental softness, and consistency, resulting in horses that are quiet-minded, responsive, and dependable in a variety of settings.

Her horses are known for their usability, confidence, and smooth transition to new owners.

Whether ranch, trail, or arena, Isabelle’s horses are developed with an emphasis on long-term soundness, trainability, and a willing disposition.
