2019 AQHA Gelding
14.3 HH
Meet Mo, a 2019 AQHA “True” Blue Roan Gelding that is 6 Panel N/N through parentage. Mo is a striking blue roan gelding with a loving personality. This horse will turn heads wherever you go and everyone will compliment on how cute your horse is. Mo is true black right away when he sheds out before he is sun bleached for the summer. He is always seeking your attention and loves to work and do his job.
I bought Mo as a yearling, started and trained him from the ground up. Mo easily neck reins, spins on a dime, changes leads, changes gaits with ease, he even has the most smooth extended trot you will ever ride.
He is super talented in so many ways, he is bound to get you noticed in the Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, Ranch Reining or even just trail riding. Mo was shown at the Stock Horse Of Texas World Show in 2024 in the Collegiate Novice. In both go rounds of that show, Mo was in the Top 20 out of 45 riders in all of the classes he was entered in, except cow work.
Mo is more than just a seasoned arena horse, he has been ridden extensively out on the trail whether that be cross country or just out for a joy ride on the mountain. He is sure footed and confident with all terrain. He crosses water perfectly whether it is a large creek or a small mud hole. Mo is comfortable and confident riding in the front, middle or back while out on the trail.
If you are looking for a horse that is seasoned in trail riding, mountain riding as well as arena work, Mo is the horse for you. Mo will excel at anything you throw at him. Whether you are doing ranch work, trail riding or ranch versatility Mo is the horse that fits the bill

Mattie's love for horses started at a young age. She grew up going to little local rodeos and 4-H events. In 2019, Mattie started her first two year old when she was 14 years old and fell in love with horse training. She went on to show in High School Reined Cow Horse on a horse she trained herself and ended up 6th in Wyoming State.
In college, Mattie was on the LCCC Ranch Horse team and showed in Wyoming, Colorado as well as Texas. The ranch horse team really helped solidify her love for training horses. At the end of 2024, when Mattie graduated college, she decided to pursue a career in training horses and wanted to learn more about the reining horses. Mattie worked in Texas for 8 months with some of the best reining trainers in the world including 6 million dollar NRHA trainer Casey Deary.
In September of 2025, Mattie had an amazing opportunity to start up her own business of training horses full time back home in Wyoming. So in September 2025, Down The Hill Performance Horses was born and is now a thriving business in Northern Wyoming.
