2020 AQHA Gelding

15 HH

With killer movement and drop dead gorgeous looks, meet the boy we call “Dagger!”

Sired by SPOOKS GOTTA WHIZ, it’s easy to see why he’s so fancy! You cannot flaw his conformation; sculpted head, clean neck, perfect balance and clean, straight legs. Once in motion, you can’t look away! He’s so smooth, both to watch and ride, and everything about him is covered in class.

Within the first week of owning him, Dagger he: went on his first cattle drive, strolled down miles of trails, was ridden English and jumped for the first time, and went to his first ranch horse show where he was high point horse!!! He even has the buckle to prove it! He passed all the tests with flying colors and thoroughly enjoyed all of it.

Trained as a reiner, an NRHA money earner, he has all the parts to continue his show career in the reining pen. He circles beautifully, changes leads and speeds great, spins correct and stops big! He has the talent to be in the open, but the mind to fit non-pro or youth just fine!

Dagger is always eager to please and gets along with everyone. He fits right into the herd, is an easy keeper and can take time off. We appreciate how confident he is in himself and it shows with how comfortable he is riding off alone. Clipping, bathing, deworming, shoeing, etc. is all a breeze with him.

Megan Profile

A lifelong dedication to building reliable, family-friendly horses has been a driving force for Megan, and this tradition is now being carried on by her daughter, Teagan. Their sincere connections with both their horses and their customers are evident in everything they do.

Megan’s love for horses began at just three years old and has shaped her entire life. Megan and her husband, Andy, are excited to see their children, Wyatt (12) and Teagan (10), share the same passion for horses. Together, the family owns and operates Hansen Performance Horses, where they focus on  training well-rounded horses. Their horses are exposed to a variety of disciplines, from team roping to trail riding, ranching, and even jumping. It’s also common for them to compete at ranch horse shows, where Teagan proudly won her first buckle!

Megan and Teagan are both committed to understanding each horse's unique strengths and personality. Through individualized training, they ensure that every horse is represented honestly and matched with the right person.
