2022 AQHA Gelding

14.1 HH

Old school breeding with new school color. Driftwood, Hancock, Lucky Little Lena, Cougaurand and many more old bloodlines that have defined the quarter horse world that we know today.

This young gelding comes from a long line of great minded ranch horses bred for brains with the bonus of color.

His champagne color will darken over time due to a highly dominant trait which has the whole herd he comes from currently part of a large UC Davis study to identify the "sooty gene".

At a young age, he has already proven himself in the show ring, sorting pen and as a gentle care taker of novice riders.

Apollo is kind and forgiving by nature and will babysit a new rider in the arena until they learn how to ask for correct ques. He is quiet in new environments and is level headed when facing new challenges and things he has never seen.

This horse is one you can take any direction. Ranch versatility, mounted shooting, flag carry horse, extreme cowboy racing, Jr. rodeo, rope on him, cow work, desert trails and he even goes nicely over small jumps if you wanted to take him in the hunter ring. This guy loves to please and always tries hard. He will stay slow and quiet with novice riders but will turn it up if you ask him for the more advanced rider. He is very soft in the face with a smooth jog, beautiful flowing, long strided movement that rides like a larger horse. He is easy with his lead departures and has smooth transitions. He is already the kind of horse that can sit for a few weeks and go right back to doing his job like he has had no time off.

This horse truly stands out everywhere he goes and they just don't come like him often. If you want a young horse that whole family can enjoy for years to come, Apollo is your guy!

Jenifer has spent her whole life dedicated to horses and showed having a gift with them from a very young age. Growing up in the desert of Central Nevada, at eight years old, her and her farrier mother started with little knowledge bravely training BLM mustangs for personal pleasure riding. By the young age of fourteen she was working for professional trainers, soaking up knowledge and succeeding in the show ring. Over the years, she was mentored by a trainer that provided stunt horses to the movie industry and problem solving for difficult cases. A stent with a major cutting horse trainer took her skills to new levels and a passion for sculpting fabulous, broke, safe riding horses that stood out grew. As life progressed and being a mom became priority, she stepped back from the busy show world and training outside horses to focus of family. Having this slower pace has allowed her to focus on one great horse at a time, only choosing colts that show to be quiet and smart from the beginning. Her passion and skill make for a horse you can count on that she trusts with her own loved ones. She now enjoys owning and training a great colt, getting to have a little fun on them, and letting them move one to be a great addition to a new family.
