2020 Gypsy Vanner Gelding

13.3 HH

Ice is a Palomino Tobiano with 2 stunning blue eyes!
He is as handsome as they come and built to last with solid conformation, great balance, bone structure, good strong feet, and a presence that turns heads wherever he goes. He is as balanced and correct as you will find and has the sweetest babydoll head.
Ice is the perfect size from grandparents to grandkids and everyone in between and safe for the whole Family. He will carry passengers of every skill level by saddle or cart, on the trail or in the arena. He is the definition of versatility!
Not only is he stunning to look at and a pleasure to be around, but he’s also extremely well trained. He is a Ranch Trail Show Earner and at only 6 years old, Ice will do absolutely anything and everything you ask of him!

He is a perfect balance of whoa and go and can be ridden by anyone. Whether you’re wanting to spend the day riding down the trails, teaching lessons, pushing cattle, jumping, competing, or just pampering your best friend, Ice is your man! Ice rides English or Western and loves to drive. He lopes correct circles, has flawless transitions and floats across the ground as smooth as glass. He will side pass with hand commands to a mounting block, picnic table, log, boulder, or trailer fender to make mounting easy from absolutely anywhere.

He has been used as a lesson horse from first ride beginners to riders with therapeutic needs to retired Ranchers. He is the type of horse that can do every job you ask of him but doesn’t need a job to stay predictable. This gelding does not require a daily program to stay good-minded. Whether you ride him every day or just pull him out once a week—or even once a month, he saddles up with the same steady attitude.

Ice has a true puppy dog personality with the utmost respect and impeccable ground manners; he has always been the barn favorite. From his stall to the pasture, he loves attention and will soak up every scratch you’re willing to give without getting in your space or walking over you. With a bright, kind eye and a sweet personality, he’s the kind of horse that makes spending time with him just as enjoyable as riding. Ice is a dream to lead anywhere and has multiple placings in In-Hand Ranch Trail Classes.

He lays down on command, crosses bridges, creeks, logs, tarps and other obstacles. He is fantastic on the trails in a group or alone—whether you’re riding uphill, downhill, through creeks and water, stepping over downed logs, or making your way across rocky ground, Ice is steady and dependable.
He has been ridden Western, English, and bareback, and has plenty of miles under saddle both in the arena and out on the trails. He has perfect lead changes and departures and guides willingly and effortlessly wherever you point him and is as smooth as they come! He has a great stop and really knows the word “whoa”. He extends and collects and has flawless transitions. He has cute spins both directions, an amazing side pass, and will neck rein. Ice has had extensive trail obstacle exposure since I purchased him as a 2 year old, and nothing bothers him. He crosses bridges, drags logs, trots poles, small jumps, handles blowing tarps, whips, heavy machinery, gunfire, lawn blowers, he’s accustomed and confident with it all! If you’ve been searching for an old soul gentleman in a spry young gelding with all the class and looks in the world, then look no further! This versatile, gorgeous gelding is ready for anything! Ice has the heart to take care of you, the talent to go in many directions, and the kind of personality that makes him unforgettable!

He baths, clips, stands to be braided, hauls and stands quietly for the farrier. As you can see, he is a very easy keeper and eats and drinks well when hauled. This pretty boy is up to date on worming, vaccinations and dental care and is ready for years and years of fun in his next chapter with his new person.

From barrel racing to trick riding to being a stunt double, Hailey’s horsemanship journey has been action-packed from the start. The dedicated horsewoman was born into a rodeo family and raised on her family’s poultry farm in Abbotsford, British Columbia. “My mom had me in the saddle with her when I was only 3 weeks old. I’ve loved horses since forever”. Hailey started out in Pony Club and from there went on to Rodeos, Barrel Racing and Ranch Trail. She has performed as a trick rider for years at rodeos and equine events across Canada and the Northwestern United States, including the Calgary Stampede. After graduating, Hailey focused on her barrel racing career and started her own training business, taking in mainly Barrel Racing and Ranch Trail horses. Her desire to learn as much about Horsemanship took her to Texas in 2019 where she became a graduate of the Downunder Horsemanship Academy as a Clinton Anderson Method Ambassador. Hailey has honed her training skills to emphasize on safety. “Even though I was a trick rider and stunt double, when you’re going to as many rodeos, jackpots and events as I do and riding as many horses as I ride, safety has to be a priority.” She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and helping horse owners enjoy their horses and reach their personal goals.
