NEVILLE (Weston)

2018 Gypsy Vanner Gelding

14 HH

Where do I even start in describing this extraordinary pony, the embodiment of countless dreams? After more than thirty years in horse care, I can confidently say that Weston is unlike any pony I’ve ever encountered. His playful and affectionate spirit captivates everyone who meets him—a rare quality in horses today.

Although he is a crossbreed, Weston boasts the elegant feathers, mane, and tail of a purebred Gypsy. He stands calmly in cross ties or ground-tied while being groomed, bathed, braided, or transformed into a jungle gym for anyone seeking his company. He is my reliable partner for a variety of tasks, whether it's training new horses or guiding young riders through the art of riding.

Weston's versatility is truly astounding; he possesses the most comfortable, smooth, and floaty gaits you could imagine. Riding him is such a delightful experience that you won't want to hop on another horse again! He thrives in any discipline you choose, having been ridden in both English and Western styles. He can effortlessly jog and lope on a loose rein like a pleasure horse or transition to a more athletic frame when needed. With an English saddle, he showcases impressive collection and extension, responding beautifully to leg pressure. He maintains light contact and remains soft in the bridle, and can even be ridden bridle-less, responding well to simple voice commands. His true passion, however, shines when he jumps over anything you set before him!

Dressage trainers have been particularly impressed by Weston’s expressive movements and refined self-carriage, which truly set him apart among gypsy horses. I believe he has the potential to shine in eventing as well. Whether you're aiming for stardom in the show ring or simply want a delightful companion for the family farm, Weston is the perfect match. He adapts to riders of all skill levels, from beginners in training programs to seasoned adult amateurs. His responses are reliable, and he adjusts seamlessly to riders of all sizes, always remaining respectful and attentive.

Weston also excels in driving; he navigates a carriage as if he's been doing it for years. While most horses take weeks or even months to get accustomed to pulling a carriage, Weston mastered it in just one day. I have videos showcasing his steady learning and eagerness as he pulls a carriage for the first time, appearing as if he’s been doing it forever.

Weston is truly a once-in-a-lifetime pony, and anyone fortunate enough to meet him will recognize his exceptional qualities. Take him to the beach, Rural King, or through the Taco Bell drive-through you’ll be the same wherever you go. He’s registered in International Gypsy Equine Association and the Gypsy Registery of America, Inc. He has brought joy to our entire family, and I sincerely hope you consider making him a part of yours.

I’m Lindsey, a 37-year-old single mom living my childhood dream of training horses in Ocala, Florida. Working with horses has always been my happy place, and while turning my passion into a career isn’t always glamorous, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. My values and training philosophy have remained consistent, rooted in the same passion I had as a teenage girl. I’ve always had the patience and intuition to help any troubled horse that crosses my path, and that dedication continues to drive me every day.
