Sooty buckskin roan is such a unique color! This 4 year old laid back gelding checks all the boxes. Mickey is a great all around horse that is versatile ,safe, and fun. He is forgiving, honest and will ride for anyone that can hold the reins. He is loving and tolerant the same horse every time you get him out.
Mickey has a solid reining foundation with great lead departures, spins, flying lead changes, collected gaits and a nice stop. Mickey has been around cattle, done boxing classes and run them down the chute.
He guides one handed, nicely side passes, opens and closes gates, and does trail obstacles. He is unalarmed by traffic, animals, bicycles, machinery, etc. He does excellent on trails alone or with a group, crossing mud , bridges and water.
Mickey is also registered with the International Buckskin Horse Association where he was shown and placed in the 2024 IBHA World show and placed. He has also been shown in numerous mountain trail competitions and ranch horse shows placing and has points with the ARHA.
Mickey is just a great all around horse with dog like disposition that is fun and easy to ride and get along with.
He was started slow and right by one owner with a great foundation!

Kelly grew up in Ohio but her heart has always been in the mountains where her love for horses went hand in hand. Working for an outfitter she realized the need for safe, broke horses which turned into a main focus training horses in Ohio. Kelly starts several young horses a year and also takes in some outside horses to train and also shows. Her biggest passion is creating a all around safe horse that is a willing partner with a solid foundation.
