DL HEZA PLAY (ICE)
2019 AQHA Gelding
15 HH
Ice is a gorgeous shapey dapple gray gelding with tons of athleticism. Knowing where to put his feet, he gives you tons of confidence in every job.
We bought Ice as a weanling and he’s been in our program from the beginning. He is a forward moving horse that has always had a lot of feel and one you can have plenty of confidence to go get any of your ranch jobs done. He’s doctored cows, paired, sorted, drug calves, and covered plenty of country. He’s sure footed and confident in all terrain making him a valuable asset on any working ranch. He has a ground covering walk, an easy trot and a smooth lope; you pick the pace.
Ice has a true one handed neck rein that makes him user friendly for anyone, yet still has all the buttons a seasoned horseman can appreciate. In the arena he lopes soft pretty circles on a loose rein, has pretty lope departures, spins, stops and side passes.
Rope, ranch, trail, or take him to the arena, he’s well rounded and you can do it all. Ice has some run on his papers being sired by Colonel Frenchman and is paid into Future Fortunes as well. He has experienced long days, and will truck along all day alone or with friends. Just point and go, he crosses water, logs, bridges and navigates quietly through any terrain. You’ll enjoy this fella every time you get him out.
Leave him set a few months it doesn’t matter, he’s still the same horse when you pull him out. Ice is a stand out type of gelding that is multitalented and versatile.

Sarah Moreland of S Lazy M Ranch in western SD has always had a passion for training horses. She started training horses for the public at 15 yrs old and her husband Seth and children Sterling and Cedar still train horses and ranch in Red Owl, SD.
"I grew up on horseback since I was a little girl and still live, love and breathe horses every day. We love starting colts, making good solid performance horses and our ranch is a great place to get that solid foundation that every horse needs. Spring ranch work with all the branding is a highlight along with all the summer and fall cattle work. I love all that the ranch provides for these horses but training time in the arena and taking them to town is important too. I enjoy showing cow horse and AQHA Ranch Versatility as well as training and running barrel horses. I'm loving getting into the breakaway roping as well.
My passion is to train and provide well rounded, gentle, solid, quality performance horses that anyone can go on with and enjoy. We all have a part in making these horses, including our young children who provide lots of desensitizing at this point, and I'm blessed to get to call this my job and to raise our children in this lifestyle, doing what we love."
