PEPTOSSOUTHERNBELLE (Canyon)

2020 AQHA Gelding

15 HH

Canyon is gentle, safe and patient and a great horse for the whole family. Rope, ranch, trail ride; Canyon is extremely versatile. You’ll enjoy his calm easy lope on a loose rein, smooth lope departures, pretty spins and stops. Canyon has more of a laid back personality and enjoys a calm walk or fun little trot heading down the trails. He is a horse with a lot of natural collection, is soft sided and a true one hand neck rein. You’ll love his big soft eye and kind personality that’ll meet you at the gate.

He has a well rounded background with lots of experience in and out of the arena. He has ranched and doctored in the plains of Kansas, drug calves and covered big country in SD, been trail rode in the hills and shown in some small versatility events. He’s pulled calves to the fire, gathered, paired, sorted, and doctored in the pasture. He is quiet and cowwy and yet still has plenty of feel. He is calm and quiet to do the ranch jobs and great to cover the miles.

Canyon is solid on the trail and accustomed to all kinds of terrain, water, rivers, mud, wildlife, traffic, machinery, dogs, kids, and anything you throw at him. He has toted my kiddos around the ranch with me and takes care of all of us. His sweet, kind, meet you at the gate personality everyone enjoys and he is an asset to anyone’s program. Enjoy him wherever you choose.

Sarah Moreland of S Lazy M Ranch in western SD has always had a passion for training horses. She started training horses for the public at 15 yrs old and her husband Seth and children Sterling and Cedar still train horses and ranch in Red Owl, SD.
"I grew up on horseback since I was a little girl and still live, love and breathe horses every day. We love starting colts, making good solid performance horses and our ranch is a great place to get that solid foundation that every horse needs. Spring ranch work with all the branding is a highlight along with all the summer and fall cattle work. I love all that the ranch provides for these horses but training time in the arena and taking them to town is important too. I enjoy showing cow horse and AQHA Ranch Versatility as well as training and running barrel horses. I'm loving getting into the breakaway roping as well.
My passion is to train and provide well rounded, gentle, solid, quality performance horses that anyone can go on with and enjoy. We all have a part in making these horses, including our young children who provide lots of desensitizing at this point, and I'm blessed to get to call this my job and to raise our children in this lifestyle, doing what we love."
