2017 Palomino Overo APHA Gelding

14.2 HH

What’s soft on the inside, warm all over and oh so sweet? If you guessed “Marshmallow” you are correct! Our Marshmallow is all that and more! He’s the kind of comfort everyone is looking for.

STEADY, HONESY and EASY to operate all come to mind to help describe this handsome fella! There’s a certain trust that you feel with him that doesn’t come with just any horse. He’s an open book and is always ready to give his best.

Marshmallow is the perfect size, not intimidating for a smaller rider, and stout enough to carry anyone. He’s not complicated to operate and he is a great problem solver… if little legs kick more than they should, he won’t overreact, yet he’s respectful and responsive when he knows they are ready for more. That is something I cannot teach, that came standard with Marshmallow.

Bareback or bridle-less, he travels with confidence and charisma. Even when you want to run down without a bridle for a SLIDING STOP! Talk about fancy! In the show ring he stands out with his steadiness and modern day look. Truth is, he won TWO buckles in ONE weekend with TWO different kids! What a horse! The lowest he finished in any of his classes was 2nd! Ranch conformation, ranch pleasure, ranch riding, ranch trail, he’s a pro and he likes his job.

Seems like no matter what he’s doing, Marshmallow does it with flare. Hands down he is one of the most beautiful lead changers I’ve ever seen - if you cue him, he will change effortlessly! He even drags calves to the fire with style! His potential as a fancy heel horse is unreal, he has rate, expression and all the athleticism you’d need!

Out on the trails he is brave and steps out nicely at the walk. He is happy to go check out all the scenery and water crossings you can find. All you need to do is point him where you’d like to go. It won’t matter if it’s over a downed log, through a ravine, or across a tight bridge, he knows where his feet are and can handle the challenge.

His ground manners are superb! He never invades your space and will automatically adjust to your pace, making him a perfect pick for showmanship if that’s your thing. Clipping, bathing, foot work, vaccinations, deworming, there’s no hassle whatsoever.

Bottomline - Marshmallow will 100% meet you where you are in your riding ability and take care of you. We know you will enjoy him for years to come.

Teagan & Megan Profile Picture

A lifelong dedication to building reliable, family-friendly horses has been a driving force for Megan, and this tradition is now being carried on by her daughter, Teagan. Their sincere connections with both their horses and their customers are evident in everything they do.

Megan’s love for horses began at just three years old and has shaped her entire life. Megan and her husband, Andy, are excited to see their children, Wyatt (12) and Teagan (10), share the same passion for horses. Together, the family owns and operates Hansen Performance Horses, where they focus on  training well-rounded horses. Their horses are exposed to a variety of disciplines, from team roping to trail riding, ranching, and even jumping. It’s also common for them to compete at ranch horse shows, where Teagan proudly won her first buckle!

Megan and Teagan are both committed to understanding each horse's unique strengths and personality. Through individualized training, they ensure that every horse is represented honestly and matched with the right person.
