2017 Gypsy Vanner Gelding

13.3 HH

I Spy with my little eye, the cutest little Gypsy! If you’ve been searching for an old soul gentleman with all the class and looks in the world, then look no further! This versatile, gorgeous gelding is ready for anything!

CFR Mercury, “Spy”, is a 2017 registered Gypsy Vanner gelding standing 13.3hh. Spy is the perfect size for grandparents to grandkids and safe for anyone in the Family. He has a long thick mane, huge black tail, and tons of feather. Spy will carry passengers of every skill level by saddle or cart, on the trail or in the arena. Whether you’re wanting to spend the day riding down the trails, teaching lessons, pushing cattle, jumping, or just pampering your best friend, Spy is your man!

Not only is he stunning to look at and a pleasure to be around, but he’s also extremely well trained. At only 8 years old, Spy will do absolutely anything and everything you ask of him. Spy will side pass with hand commands to mounting block, picnic table, log or trailer fender to make mounting easy.

He lays down on command, crosses bridges, creeks, logs, tarps and other obstacles. He is fantastic on the trails in a group or alone and has even been used as a turn back horse at rodeos!

Spy rides English or Western and loves to drive; either a cart or wagon, he even runs barrels! Watch his viral TikTok link below! He lopes correct circles, has flawless transitions and floats across the ground as smooth as glass.

He has been used as a lesson horse from first ride beginners and therapeutic needs to retired Ranchers in many disciplines including reining and mountain trail. He is the type of horse that can do every job but doesn’t need a job to stay predictable. He is a perfect balance of whoa and go and can be ridden by anyone. Spy is the definition of versatility!

Spy has been hauled from British Columbia, Canada to Arizona and everywhere in between. He hauls like a champ, eats and drinks on the road.  He has seen the sights and heard the noises and can handle blowing tarps, bull whips, gunfire, barking dogs, screaming kids, leaf blowers, heavy farm equipment, and anything else you can throw at him. Spy is great around other horses, easy to catch and easy to feed.

Spy is an easy keeper that requires no special cares or maintenance, he is predictable, safe and fun. He ground ties, cross ties and stands good for the groomer and farrier - currently barefoot but has been shod. UTD on vaccinations, sheath cleaning, worming, teeth and farrier. Spy not only has impeccable ground manners but is so willing and takes everything in stride.

I can’t say enough good things about this guy, he has been an absolute dream to work with and is going to make someone a life long best friend! Spy is a true Cadillac!

From barrel racing to trick riding to being a stunt double, Hailey’s horsemanship journey has been action-packed from the start. The dedicated horsewoman was born into a rodeo family and raised on her family’s poultry farm in Abbotsford, British Columbia. “My mom had me in the saddle with her when I was only 3 weeks old. I’ve loved horses since forever,” Hailey says.

Hailey started her horsemanship career in Pony Club and from there went on to Play Days, Junior Rodeos then barrel racing. She even performed as a trick rider for years performing at rodeos and equine events across Canada and the Northwestern United States, including the Calgary Stampede. In high school, Hailey competed on her school’s rodeo team.

After graduating, Hailey focused on her barrel racing career and started her own training business, taking in mainly barrel horses. Her desire to learn as much about Horsemanship took her to Texas in 2019 where she became a graduate of the Downunder Horsemanship Academy as a Method Ambassador. Hailey has honed her training skills to emphasize on safety. “Even though I was a trick rider and stunt double, when you’re going to as many rodeos and jackpots as I do and riding as many horses as I ride, safety has to be a priority.”

She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and helping horse owners enjoy their horses and reach their personal goals.
