2019 AQHA Gelding
14.3 HH
Friendly – Fancy – Fun! This 5 y/o gelding is just the sweetest! Tater is the type of horse that wants to be with you, likes a job, and is EASY. He is gentle, safe, well-bred and well-mannered. His ears are always forward and he loves the attention – your whole family will fall in LOVE!
Tater has 3 very key components that make a Cadillac Horse – good mind, good foundation, and good looks…and what we love most about him is his personality! We DARE you not to fall in love. Tater was started as a reined cow horse prospect by some of the top professionals in the industry and because of this, he is athletic, agile, light to the touch, and responsive. He collects softly, packs a bit and moves through his gaits nicely. He can jog slowly or move out to a big-strided trot for ranch riding. He has that fancy reining handle, moves off your legs, willingly side passes to open gates, changes leads, has smooth turn arounds, and big sliding stops. He is calm and confident riding along a busy road or out solo on the trails. He isn’t worried about his friends on the trail or riding off alone or being left behind.
Tater is used to kids and a busy environment. He rides alongside bicycles, strollers, motorcycles, dogs running underfoot, wagons, tarps, toys, even a drone flying overhead. He likes being a babysitter but has enough feel and “go” for a more experienced rider. You will not have any issues from him refusing dewormer, having his feet handled, getting doctored or having the kids bathe, decorate or braid his hair. He ground ties where you drop a rein and waits for you patiently. He is genuinely happy to go to work and will eagerly hop in the trailer. He walks off calmly with an easy stride. He is our six-year old’s favorite because she feels safe and confident on him. They’ve ridden out on the trail together, gone swimming, ridden through the herd, gone over obstacles, and had many spa days. Tater is always patient while she practices her trick-riding on him.
This special gelding has lot of eye-appeal and top-of-the line pedigree. He is a rich chestnut color, has bright, striking-blue eyes that capture your heart, a flaxen mane and tail, and all the right amount of chrome. Tater was sired by Pale Face Dunnit (Connels Smoking Gun), an earner of over $72,000+ in the NRHA and whose offspring earnings have surpassed the 4-million-dollar mark! You don’t have to look hard to see his breeding boasts some of the most iconic western performance horse sires there have been (Hollywood Dun It, Smart Chic Olena, Smart Little Lena) – you will not regret adding this gem of a gelding to your barn!

Thanks to her mom and aunt’s love of horses, Kiva began riding at a young age - everything from Welsh Ponies to Tennessee Walking Horses, but it was the dream of being a Cowgirl and riding fast that led her to her first Quarter horse. 4-H led to showing Western and English all-around as a youth, and the glitz and glamour of the show ring led to competing in rodeo queen pageants. While in college she started the rodeo club, team penned, learned how to rope and helped doing ranch works when and wherever she could. For the last decade she has served as the president of the Cowgirls Historical Foundation, a non-profit organization made up of accomplished horsewomen who are dedicated to promoting western heritage and the western way of life.
Today with her young family, Kiva enjoys competing in reined cow horse, cutting and versatility shows with her husband who is a professional horseman, Grant Lindaman, of G2 Performance Horses. Their kids are following in their footsteps and they’re proud to know they’ll have a childhood built on the values of the western lifestyle. They take pride in their premier performance horses, either from their breeding program or hand-picked and trained for the discerning buyer. They enjoy making the right and lasting match for people.
From learning animal care, responsibility, leadership, self-confidence, public speaking, her love of horses is at the very core of her life and has been the catalyst for all the enrichment, fun, adventures, connections, and life-long friendships. Kiva truly loves horses and hopes to spark this love and lifestyle in others by sharing good, safe, and beautiful horses so they can live their own western!
