2019 AQHA Gelding

15 HH

With a name like Fish Legs, you know this guy must ooze confidence! Or at least he knows how to handle a joke! Regardless, we are pleased to offer this special gelding who has been part of our family for nearly 4 years.

It was obvious from the start of his 2 year old year that Fish Legs was a no nonsense fella who enjoyed learning new things and didn't require a review before the test. He's intelligent, uncomplicated, and yes, BLUE ROAN!

After 6 months off, most horses have good reason to be silly, but not Fish Legs, he's ready for business the moment you need him. He's always been wise beyond his years, enough so that when he was a 2 year old, Wyatt (9 at the time) took him through a full show pen of 2 & 3 year olds. Fish Legs was a trooper, keeping his composure and navigating the traffic better than seasoned veterans.

Over the years he has been exposed to all kinds of experiences. He's traveled to Wyoming and Montana for branding season, gone to the shows, been trail ridden, visited the park, and patiently tolerated all we do at home! He is cordial and a true gentleman in all scenarios.

Fish Legs handles all the desensitizing like an old pro. Tarp, bouncing balls, jumping dogs, gunfire, no big deal. He will even go so far as to lay down for you to stand on him to crack the bullwhip!

He is smooth as silk at the jog, has a steady lope and transitions with ease. Plus he has a nice lead change, turns around with cadence and stays level headed.

Please call with any questions you have about Fish Legs, we can answer anything you want to know. We trust that when you meet him, you too will fall in love with this remarkable gelding!

Throughout the year, Megan & Tegan Hansen's horses are exposed to countless disciplines including team roping, trail riding, skijoring, branding, gathering and doctoring cattle, jumping, ranch work in Wyoming and Montana and ranch horse shows-of where daughter Teagan won her first buckle ? They want to be known for devoting time to each horse, being able to recognize their strengths and allow them their individuality. Keeping those ideals at the forefront of their training helps to ensure they can honestly represent each horse and pair them with the right person and situation. They truly value the relationships they build with new owners.
